About LISC Jacksonville

LISC Jacksonville opened its doors in 1999 through the efforts of the Jaguars Foundation, the Jessie Ball duPont Fund and the Community Foundation.  Those groups met with Jacksonville Mayor John Delaney in 1998 to encourage the City to bring LISC to Jacksonville.

LISC Jacksonville Vision

As the Jacksonville community works to revitalize neighborhoods with both vibrant residential and commercial development, LISC Jacksonville adds valued resources, skilled practitioners and knowledgeable advocates to the community development initiatives of our nonprofit partners.

LISC Jacksonville Values

Empowerment — We believe that people can make good choices for themselves and their communities with the right information and resources.

Teamwork and Collaboration — We “build community” by connecting people to each other, institutions, information, resources and new ideas.

Strategic Risk-Taking — LISC is a link between capital and communities to boldly and strategically attract public and private investments into communities.

Accountability and Results — Investments of time and money in people and institutions should produce results that can be confirmed independently.

Customer Needs — We acknowledge that we have multiple customers:  our nonprofit partners, local public policy leaders, and our investors.
