Founded in 1928 by Eartha M.M. White as a memorial to her mother, the Clara White Mission provides emergency services for homeless men and women, prevention services, a life management curriculum and activities for youth at risk of delinquency.
With an extensive renovation in 2003, the Clara White Mission added a new 5,000 square foot annex that provides transitional housing for homeless veterans and a culinary arts training facility. The next step will be the development of affordable, permanent housing for its clients on land adjacent to the Mission.
LISC Jacksonville is currently providing consulting services on real estate development.
