The Jacksonville community is working in concert to revitalize neighborhoods with vibrant residential and commercial development. Our nonprofit partners are successfully implementing projects that significantly impact their neighborhood -- both physically and socially. We believe that people can make good choices for themselves and their communities with the right information and resources. People should be asked and allowed to participate in decisions and programs that shape their lives and their communities.

We " build community" by connecting people to each other, institutions, information, resources and new ideas. Success comes from people and institutions working together; no one organization, institution or leader can turn around a neighborhood.

LISC is a link between capital and communities. We use our resources boldly and strategically to attract public and private investments into communities.
Accountability and Results
Investments of time and money in people and institutions should produce results that can be confirmed independently. In exchange for our investments, we ask our nonprofit partners to set targets and report their outcomes. In the same manner, LISC sets targets and reports our outcomes to our supporters.
Customer Needs
We acknowledge that we have multiple customers in our efforts to transform distressed communities into healthy ones: our nonprofit partners, local public policy leaders, and our investors. We regularly consult with our customers as we craft and execute our programs in order to ensure we are meeting their needs.
